AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Creating permanently affordable housing is at the heart of Delwest development projects across the city. Over the last five years alone, Delwest has created well over 300 new affordable housing units in the Denver metro area, including 298 LIHTC apartments all at 60% area median income (AMI) and below, and 23 workforce housing units at 80% AMI.

The apartments are all furnished with high-end finishes and appliances, and the buildings feature an array of resort-like features (including pools, kitchens, gyms, and the like). As part of a growing focus on providing wraparound supportive services at our affordable housing developments, we have also partnered with a number of nonprofits and community agencies to best deliver on-site support focused on keeping families together, happy and healthy within their homes.

Located at West 64th and Lowell Boulevard, Baker School Apartments provides nearly 150 spacious and well-designed affordable housing units for residents of west Denver and Adams County. The one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments are in walking distance to Westminster Public Schools, the new Hyland Hills “Clear Creek Valley Park,” Jim Baker Reservoir, Hidden Lakes Park, and Splashland Aquatic Center.

Resort-style amenities that distinguish Baker School Apartments from both affordable and market-rate options in the neighborhood include an on-site dog park, a playground and fitness center. An Attainable Urban Alternative

The 156-unit Park Hill Station Apartments complex opened in 2016 to provide high-quality new construction for Denver residents in need of affordable housing, including the homeless and formerly homeless. Amenities include pet-friendly apartments, washers and driers standard in each unit, free parking, a large clubhouse with games and computers, and easy access to the RTD Light Rail, major highways and other public transit options.

Affordable units are available with one, two or three bedrooms (ranging from 626 sq. ft. to 1,106 sq. ft.). There are currently 80 voucher-funded apartments at Park Hill Station, with 11 Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) vouchers. PSH voucher recipients at Park Hill Station have case workers from a variety of local service providers, including South Metro Housing, MHCD, Atlantis, United Way and Urban Peak.

Delwest has provided thousands of Coloradoans with expertly designed, plotted and constructed homes across the metro area.
