2022 2nd Quarter

 In D-Brief

A big thanks to all of our properties and partners for their donations to the hygiene drive! The event would not have been possible without you.

The Delwest community, from the properties to the corporate office, came together to donate hygiene products from mid-April to mid-May. Baker School and Park Hill Station Apartments hosted “hygiene product stores” at the end of the month. With inflation and prices continuing to rise, some of our residents were able to “shop” for much-needed supplies without spending a dime.

During the same event, our generous partners set up tables and shared information with residents so they could connect face-to-face. We had Spectrum Advocacy speaking with families about how to end the school year with a child with special needs and what to do over the summer. We had Growing Home reaching out to residents about resources available, including their Parents as Teachers program.

We are pleased to announce that we will offer activities for school-aged residents again this summer. We couldn’t do it without our generous partners! Art Garage, returning for another summer of art instruction and activities. BookGive will be donating books for all ages.

This summer we are expanding Baker School and Park Hill Station garden beds as well as including a larger-scale community garden at High Line Pointe.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to work directly with our community members and respond to their needs. Usually, our responses require a financial output. This year we are graciously accepting donations for our summer programs at Baker School and Park Hill Station. Please help us thank the following individuals and companies for their financial contributions:

Community Update

We are pleased to announce that we have sold all of our single-family homes at Greyhound Park!

If you missed out on our single-family homes, don’t worry. We are hosting a Broker’s Open to introduce our duplex homes. Join us on June 25th from 11-3 pm for a chance to tour the community, explore the neighborhood and check out the progress on our duplex models. Enjoy refreshments from Prieto’s Catering.

Team Member Spotlight: Meet Amy

Delwest has a new Director of Programs and Partnerships— meet Amy Elizabeth.

Amy’s goal is to grow and nurture the community so Delwest residents can have access to programs suited for all ages.

One of her many accomplishments has been her involvement in the 2021 Delwest Community Support Pods, to ensure our resident families and their children have the academic and emotional support necessary to succeed in school and beyond. Thank you for your hard work, and dedication to the community!
